The Manager, Student Experiences oversees the daily operations, programming, and partnerships for the Tech Hub and Creativity Commons. This role is responsible for translating the unit's goals into actionable programming, measurable student engagement, and sustained institutional and industry partnerships. You will lead a team of student employees and a Management Intern, fostering a culture of belonging and professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Manage daily operations and programming across all campus locations, ensuring consistent service delivery.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate the Management Intern and student employee team, focusing on outcomes-based coaching rather than transactional support.
- Design and deliver student-facing programming, including hackathons and events that support creative and technical development.
- Build and steward partnerships with EOSS units and other campus offices to create referral-generating collaborations.
- Partner with ET Affairs and technology vendors to secure and manage sponsor investment in student programs.
- Develop and monitor a measurement framework to track engagement, repeat visitation, and overall program success.
- Oversee the operational budget, authorize purchases, and prepare financial reports.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in administrative operations.
- Knowledge of higher education student services, co-curricular programming, or technology support environments.
- Demonstrated skill in cross-campus or multi-site operational coordination.
- Experience in developing and interpreting program measurement frameworks.
- Ability to cultivate a psychologically safe environment and model emotional intelligence.
- Experience managing, training, and evaluating a student or professional workforce.
- Proficiency in vendor and industry partnership development and stewardship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Tempe, Arizona.
- The role requires regular travel to other campus locations to support operations.
- Some evening and weekend work is required to support events such as hackathons and orientation programming.
