About the role#
Ardurra is hiring a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the summer 2027 term in Ocala, Florida. This full-time, paid position supports municipalities and public agencies through various engineering assignments. You will gain exposure to real-world projects, build technical skills, and explore a career in civil engineering.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and analysis of water and wastewater treatment facilities, distribution systems, and collection networks.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical memoranda, reports, and specifications.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling, material quantity take-offs, and engineering calculations.
- Participate in site inspections, field tests, measurements, and investigations.
- Support project scheduling, permitting, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Contact vendors for construction cost estimates and budgetary quotes.
- Review design drawings for accuracy and adherence to standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, GIS, or hydraulic modeling software is preferred.
