About the role#
Ardurra is hiring a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the summer 2027 term. This position provides exposure to civil engineering projects that support public agencies and municipalities. You will work within a team to build technical skills and gain experience in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and analysis of water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection networks, and distribution systems.
- Prepare technical memoranda, engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct engineering calculations, material quantity take-offs, and hydraulic modeling.
- Participate in site inspections, field investigations, measurements, and field tests.
- Contact vendors for budgetary quotes and help develop construction cost estimates.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity or proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, GIS, and hydraulic modeling software is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in North Charleston, South Carolina.
