About the role#
Ardurra is hiring a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the summer 2027 term. You will join our team in Marietta to support projects for municipalities and public agencies. This role provides exposure to engineering work and helps you build technical skills for a career in the civil engineering industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and analysis of water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection networks, and distribution systems.
- Prepare technical memoranda, engineering drawings, reports, and specifications.
- Conduct engineering calculations, material quantity take-offs, and hydraulic modeling.
- Participate in site inspections, field investigations, measurements, and field tests.
- Contact vendors for budgetary quotes and assist in the development of construction cost estimates.
- Support project scheduling, permitting, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Review design drawings for accuracy and adherence to standards.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency or familiarity with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, GIS, and hydraulic modeling software is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
- Strong organizational skills, a solid work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team of professionals.
