About the role#
Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This position offers exposure to real-world engineering projects that support municipalities and public agencies. You will build technical skills while working alongside professionals on water, wastewater, and collection network assignments.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and analysis of water and wastewater treatment facilities, distribution systems, and collection networks.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical memoranda, reports, and specifications.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling, material quantity take-offs, and engineering calculations.
- Participate in field investigations, site inspections, measurements, and field tests.
- Contact vendors for budgetary quotes and help develop construction cost estimates.
- Support project scheduling, permitting, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Review design drawings for accuracy and adherence to standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency or familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic modeling software is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
