About the role#
Ardurra is hiring a Transportation Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027 in Meridian, Idaho. This full-time, paid position offers exposure to real-world engineering projects for municipalities and public agencies. You will work alongside professionals to build technical skills and gain experience in the civil engineering industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design and analysis of transportation infrastructure, including roadway, drainage, signing, and pavement markings.
- Prepare engineering drawings, reports, technical memoranda, and specifications.
- Conduct transportation design, modeling, engineering calculations, and material quantity take-offs.
- Participate in field investigations, tests, measurements, and site inspections.
- Contact vendors for budgetary quotes and assist in developing construction cost estimates.
- Review design drawings for accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Support permitting, regulatory compliance documentation, and project scheduling.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program for Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software, such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or GIS is preferred.
