About the role#
Ardurra is hiring a Public Works Engineering Intern for the summer 2027 term. This position is based in College Station, Texas. You will support engineering assignments that contribute to the planning, design, and construction of public works. This internship provides exposure to real world engineering tasks and helps you explore a career in the public works industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preparing basic plan details, drawings, and calculations under the guidance of project engineers.
- Support the development of technical specifications and project documentation.
- Draft sections of technical reports or memorandums with direction from the team.
- Participate in field visits to observe tests, take measurements, and collect field data.
- Utilize company-wide and department-specific software to complete assignments.
- Provide general support to project teams, including helping with proposal materials.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar engineering software is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
