About the role#
Ardurra is looking for a Public Works Engineering Intern to join our team in Spokane for the summer of 2027. This full-time position supports the planning, design, and construction of public works projects. You will gain exposure to real-world engineering work, build technical skills, and explore a career in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preparing plan details, drawings, and calculations under the guidance of project engineers.
- Support the development of technical specifications and project documentation.
- Draft sections of technical reports or memorandums.
- Participate in field visits to observe tests, take measurements, and collect data.
- Help project teams with proposal materials and general support tasks.
- Gather and organize data for departmental special projects.
- Utilize company and department-specific software to complete assignments.
- Assist professional staff with daily tasks and learn standard engineering procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar engineering software is preferred.
