About the role#
As a GIS Intern at our Cherry Hill office, you will work alongside our engineering and GIS teams. You will gain hands-on experience with geographic information systems and data management while contributing to various projects. This role involves learning how GIS is applied to engineering, municipal, environmental, and infrastructure work.
What you'll do#
- Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining GIS maps, datasets, and project information.
- Support the collection, organization, editing, and analysis of spatial and attribute data.
- Help document and map existing infrastructure, utilities, facilities, and site conditions through field data collection.
- Prepare maps, figures, exhibits, and other project deliverables.
- Perform basic quality control to review GIS data, maps, and project documents for accuracy and completeness.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Geospatial Science, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- A genuine interest in mapping, spatial data, municipal infrastructure, and the built environment.
- Strong organizational skills, a solid work ethic, and attention to detail.
