About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work under the supervision of experienced engineers to support various infrastructure and building projects. This role involves applying standard engineering techniques to help with project tasks, including electrical system design, power distribution, and lighting. You will gain hands-on experience with design software and contribute to project documentation while learning about building codes and industry standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist with electrical design tasks, such as power distribution, lighting systems, and electrical load calculations.
- Support engineers with project data collection, technical calculations, reports, specifications, and schedules.
- Assist with the review of electrical drawings, equipment schedules, and project specifications for accuracy.
- Perform field investigations and site visits to document existing electrical systems and conditions.
- Use engineering and design software to assist with electrical system layouts, calculations, and drafting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program for Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and building electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- An interest in electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and building electrical design.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site in either Cherry Hill, New Jersey, or Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
- We are hiring on a rolling basis.
