About the role#
The Construction Management & Inspection Intern supports infrastructure projects in Houston. You will work with Senior Field Representatives and project teams to assist with construction administration and field observations. This role offers exposure to project delivery methods, contract compliance, and construction management principles while you develop technical and organizational skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist with field inspections, measurements, testing, and data collection.
- Review and organize construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare meeting notes, technical memoranda, reports, and project status updates.
- Perform material quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and vendor pricing requests.
- Track project schedules and budgets while maintaining project documentation.
- Coordinate with project staff, consultants, and contractors to support delivery.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
