About the role#
Ardurra is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in Nampa, Idaho, and requires on-site attendance. You will support engineering assignments related to site development, transportation, utilities, and community infrastructure. This role provides exposure to real client projects and deliverables while working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including roadways, drainage systems, utilities, and site development.
- Use CAD software and other engineering tools to create plan sheets, details, and figures.
- Perform material quantity take-offs and contact vendors for budgetary pricing.
- Conduct field inspections, perform field tests, and collect project-related data.
- Assist with project documentation, permitting packages, and technical memoranda.
- Prepare technical specifications, engineering reports, and cost estimates.
- Review engineering drawings and participate in project meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or GIS applications is preferred.
