About the role#
Ardurra is hiring an Aviation Engineering Intern for the summer 2027 term. This position supports the planning, design, and construction of airport infrastructure. You will gain exposure to real-world engineering work, build technical skills, and explore a career in the aviation industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preparing plan details, design components, and technical specifications for airport projects.
- Research design options and present findings to project engineers.
- Review design drawings and contribute to quality control efforts.
- Perform material quantity take-offs and contact vendors for budgetary quotes.
- Help develop construction cost estimates and monitor project workloads.
- Conduct field tests, measurements, and data collection to support design and construction.
- Assist with construction inspection, prepare daily field reports, and contribute to oversight tasks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and assist with project-related communication.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A team-oriented and self-motivated approach to work.
- Exposure to AutoCAD or Civil 3D is preferred.
- Interest in airport design, aviation infrastructure, FAA standards, or transportation engineering.
