About the role#
This internship provides exposure to engineering work within the aviation industry. You will support the planning, design, and construction of airport infrastructure projects during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Draper, Utah.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preparing plan details, outlines, and design components for airport infrastructure.
- Perform field tests, measurements, and data collection to support design and construction.
- Conduct material quantity take-offs and contact vendors for budgetary quotes.
- Assist with construction inspection and on-site project representation.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Prepare technical memoranda and contribute to project reports.
- Assist in the development of construction cost estimates.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to AutoCAD or Civil 3D is preferred.
- Interest in airport design, aviation infrastructure, or FAA standards is a plus.
