About the role#
Ardurra is hiring an Aviation Engineering Intern for the summer 2027 season. This role supports the planning, design, and construction of airport infrastructure. You will gain exposure to real world engineering tasks, build technical skills, and explore a career in the aviation industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preparing plan details, design components, and technical specifications for infrastructure projects.
- Research design options and present findings to project managers and engineers.
- Review design drawings for quality control and assist with technical memoranda and project reports.
- Perform material quantity take-offs and contact vendors for budgetary quotes.
- Support construction cost estimates and monitor project workloads.
- Conduct field tests, measurements, and data collection to support design and construction.
- Assist with construction inspection, on-site representation, and daily field reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and assist with client communication under supervision.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Exposure to AutoCAD or Civil 3D is preferred.
- An interest in airport design, aviation infrastructure, FAA standards, or transportation engineering is a plus.
