About the role#
The Water South Mid Atlantic team is looking for candidates to help address water quality, scarcity, reuse, and resilience. You will collaborate with experienced professionals to support project development and build your technical skills. This role is part of the global Resilience business area.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate, plan, and design projects for water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance.
- Support project management and contribute to sustainability and resilience initiatives.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and mitigation planning.
- Perform site visits, water sampling, and water quality analysis.
- Evaluate technologies, troubleshoot processes, and optimize plant operations.
- Gather data and support Asset Management projects using data analytics.
- Perform operational and organizational assessments, including condition assessments of facilities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and audio-visual materials for client meetings.
- Ensure project compliance with quality, health, and safety standards.
- Manage databases, SQL servers, cloud-based computing, and dashboards.
- Configure and deploy tools like SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of engineering concepts related to water, wastewater, and stormwater.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach.
- Prior experience at a design, consulting, or municipal engineering firm is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or Revit is preferred.
- EIT certification is preferred.
