Summer Water Intern

About the role#

Arcadis is seeking a Summer Water Intern to join the Water Business Line. This role focuses on protecting natural environments and water resources through sustainable engineering and consultancy solutions. You will work on projects involving water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment, as well as resilience and asset management.

What you'll do#

• Evaluate, plan, and design projects for water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance, including pipelines and pumping facilities.
• Assess and support the management of sustainability and resilience projects, including vulnerability and mitigation assessments.
• Perform fieldwork such as site visits, sample collection, water quality analysis, technology evaluation, and gathering plant operations data.
• Support asset management by conducting data analytics, operational assessments, and performance evaluations of water facilities.
• Prepare reports and presentations, participate in client meetings, and utilize digital tools such as BIM, SharePoint, and Power BI.
• Ensure project compliance with quality, health, and safety standards while collaborating with teams across the U.S. and internationally.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water, wastewater, and stormwater.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Preferred qualifications include prior internship experience or coursework in related sectors and EIT certification.
