About the role#
Arcadis is hiring an Environmental Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and follows a hybrid work model. You will work on environmental remediation and restoration projects within a team-oriented environment that focuses on technical support and professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Support systems design, hydraulic evaluation, and the development of design reports.
- Conduct field and office site investigations, including the collection of soil, water, and vapor samples.
- Assist project teams with the operation of remediation systems.
- Perform design calculations for the selection of treatment technologies and create process design drawings.
- Help with air emissions characterization, quantification, air permitting, and compliance tasks.
- Engage in office duties such as data compilation, report writing, and project scheduling.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to perform field work in various weather conditions.
