About the role#
We are looking for an Enablement and Reporting Summer Student to join our Data Analytics team for a 4-month term. You will work closely with the Enablement and Reporting team to support reporting initiatives, develop dashboards, and create performance metrics. This role offers hands-on experience with data visualization, stakeholder engagement, and the adoption of data-driven solutions.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team through training and mentorship to build skills in data storytelling and reporting tools.
- Gather business needs to understand reporting requirements and translate them into metrics.
- Design and build clear dashboards that track performance and support business insights.
- Use Databricks to source data, build queries, and explore AI tools for analysis.
- Support KPI development by defining, documenting, and refining metrics.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity by following best practices for data management.
- Keep clear records of data sources, definitions, and report logic.
- Stay proactive in improving your reporting skills and exploring new techniques.
What you'll need#
- You are in your second or third year of a Bachelor program in Computer Science, Business Technology Management, or a related data field.
- You must be returning to your studies in the following term.
- Strong analytical thinking skills to identify trends and draw insights.
- A detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in your work.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical data into business-friendly language.
- Familiarity with tools like Power BI or Excel is an asset.
- Experience querying databases or data lakes using SQL is an asset.

- This is a full-time, paid position based in Calgary, Alberta.
- The work term begins in May 2027.
