About the role#
ARC Resources Ltd. is seeking a Data Services Co-op Student to join the Data Analytics team for a 12-month work term. You will report to the Supervisor of Data Services and work on projects that support our business processes and internal team operations.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with business and Data Services team members to collect, document, and analyze requirements for new solutions.
- Build data solutions using Databricks to improve business or internal team processes.
- Learn and apply established development patterns and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to receive feedback and refine your work.
- Use the established development lifecycle to create and deploy production-ready code.
- Document your solutions to ensure they can be maintained and supported effectively.
What you'll need#
- You are currently in your second or third year of a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Technology Management, or a related field.
- You must be returning to school for the following term.
- You have a strong interest in data and development using Python and SQL.
- You are familiar with or curious about cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- You have experience building data visualization dashboards.
- You possess strong problem-solving skills and enjoy approaching challenges from new angles.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Calgary, Alberta.
- The work term begins in May 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site co-op role.
