About the role#
The Technical Services team in Houston seeks a student for the Summer 2027 program. You will work alongside senior engineers to support technology scouting, technical assessments, and inspection activities. This role provides exposure to the oil and gas and petrochemical industries through hands-on project work and facility tours.
What you'll do#
- Assist senior engineers with projects involving static equipment, rotating equipment, and instrumentation and automation.
- Conduct process design technology scouting.
- Search industry-wide technical standards.
- Identify design factors including pressure and temperature ratings, minimum wall thickness, corrosion allowance, and material groups.
- Develop or revise engineering procedures.
- Tour equipment manufacturer, process plant, and technology provider facilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering degree program.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Houston, Texas.
- This position is paid.
- The internship is eligible for course credit, subject to approval by your academic advisor.
