About the role#
The Procurement and Supply Chain Management department in Houston offers a summer program for students to gain hands-on experience in procurement, logistics, and materials management. You will work alongside professionals to learn our business operations and contribute to ongoing projects. This program is eligible for internship course credit.
What you'll do#
- Manage materials procurement projects and monitor vendor KPI metrics.
- Participate in supplier negotiations and help expedite purchase orders to meet delivery dates.
- Contact suppliers to register them on Ariba and assist with unit reporting.
- Research new companies and technologies for sourcing opportunities.
- Reconcile Power BI reporting data against Ariba records.
- Research AI use cases for contracting activities.
- Assist staff with contract development and create contracting examples.

- Current enrollment in a degree program for Supply Chain Management.
