About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to work within the Fuels Affiliate Management team in Houston. You will support the Americas Downstream sector through research, reporting, and process improvement projects. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Prepare monthly executive reports covering the Americas Downstream sector, including refining, chemicals, base oils, and fuels marketing.
- Summarize industry developments, market intelligence, consultant insights, and competitor activities.
- Research and write industry overview papers on topics such as wholesale fuels markets and emerging business areas.
- Design and implement automated tools and dashboards to assist with quarterly performance analysis.
- Create and maintain an Affiliate Governance Handbook to document board structures, committee responsibilities, and management authorities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree and have completed at least your sophomore year.
- Studies in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Operations Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience using Microsoft Copilot or other AI-driven automation tools.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings clearly.

- This role is based on-site in Houston, Texas.
- The internship is eligible for course credit, subject to approval by your university.
