About the role#
This position is for a Student Worker in Catering at Slippery Rock University. The role is on-site and open to students across various majors, including Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Nutrition, Public Health, and Nursing.
What you'll do#
- Build and prepare food items following standardized recipes.
- Store food according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, and sanitize workstations like prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food while anticipating customer needs and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Keep food items stocked and replenished.
- Maintain a positive demeanor with guests and co-workers.
- Follow company safety policies and protect company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use Personal Protective Equipment.
