About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at Wind River, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and certification of safety-critical products used by customers in the automotive, industrial, and aerospace sectors. You will work alongside system architects and product management teams to build features for VxWorks and HVP platforms, helping to drive the development of system software for modern hardware.
What you'll do#
- Develop software modules for VxWorks and HVP to support growth in embedded and enterprise markets.
- Collaborate with global software engineering teams to fix defects and implement requested features.
- Contribute ideas for product iterations and improvements.
- Take initiative to improve existing features and development processes.
- Create certification artifacts for safety-critical applications.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BE, BTech, ME, or MTech degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Understanding of embedded systems and RTOS fundamentals.
- Experience with scripting languages, such as Python.
- Completed coursework in operating systems.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
