About the role#
Harmon, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. This role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while you learn from experienced leaders. You will support our production operations by identifying opportunities for efficiency, quality, and safety improvements.
What you'll do#
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across production.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and implement process changes.
- Analyze operational data to improve inventory control, product quality, throughput, material flow, productivity, ergonomics, and workplace safety.
- Participate in problem-solving and root cause analysis activities.
- Assist with process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation.
- Help implement and track improvement projects.
- Create reports, presentations, and visual tools to communicate project progress.
- Work with team members to drive operational change.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An interest in manufacturing operations and process improvement.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is on-site in West Chester, Ohio, or Mesquite, Texas.
