About the role#
As an Environmental Scientist Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals on real-world environmental and industrial hygiene projects. This role focuses on field-based tasks and technical documentation, providing exposure to various environmental services to help build a foundation for a consulting career.
What you'll do#
- Support environmental and Industrial Hygiene projects in the field.
- Perform duties such as stormwater, mold, and wastewater sampling.
- Assist with environmental investigations.
- Write technical reports based on field findings.
- Follow direction from supervisors to complete assigned field tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of environmental science.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain good record keeping.
- Awareness of safety standards and practices.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- Work locations include Manassas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
- Required schedule is Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET at a client site in Washington, D.C.
