About the role#
The Disputes & Economics group provides expert data analysis services to attorneys and businesses. As an intern, you will work within a project team to address complex financial, accounting, and economic questions. This work often supports high-stakes litigation and contentious business matters. You will contribute to projects such as consumer class action cases, labor and employment lawsuits, and forensic accounting investigations.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial, accounting, economic, and statistical analyses.
- Load and validate client data into structured formats.
- Build models using data analysis tools and programs.
- Conduct detailed spreadsheet analyses.
- Assist with data gathering, including document review, research, and quality control.
- Prepare client reports and exhibits.
What you'll need#
- Current third-year undergraduate student graduating between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Preference for majors in analytical fields.
- Strong academic record with a GPA of 3.3 or higher preferred.
- Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Initiative, adaptability, and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to work overtime when project deadlines require it.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. as a citizen or permanent resident.
Location & details#
- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $34 per hour.
