About the role#
This fellowship supports the McLarty Trade practice, a team focused on strategic advisory services for industrial policy, technology, and global trade interests. You will work on a variety of projects alongside professionals ranging from Associates to Directors. This position provides exposure to consulting work through research, analysis, and client-facing assignments. This is a paid, full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Monitor news outlets to track relevant trade developments.
- Conduct research and analysis on economic, political, trade, technology, public policy, and financial issues.
- Prepare presentations and other client deliverables.
- Attend and report on speeches, panel discussions, and policy forums.
- Compile biographies and assist professional staff with administrative support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in Political Science, International Relations, International Policy, or a related field. Bachelor's degree candidates with strong relevant experience are also considered.
- A broad understanding of international politics, economics, trade, technology, government relations, and business.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and other business applications.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Interest or experience in trade policy is a plus.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Washington, DC.
- The role is on-site, with a requirement to work in the office at least twice a week.
- The hourly salary is $18.40.
- This role is not benefits-eligible.
