About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work with the mechanical engineering design teams at ANDRITZ. You will gain practical experience in the hydroelectric field by applying your academic knowledge to ongoing projects while collaborating with experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Assist design engineers in creating 3D models and 2D drawings while listing associated parts.
- Review drawings and parts lists for accuracy against customer specifications and design standards.
- Conduct research to gather information for active projects.
- Support team operations through documentation management, meeting organization, and administrative tasks.
- Assist with project logistics and perform light maintenance on design tools or office equipment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering methods and processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the second or third year of a Mechanical Engineering program.
- Completed or ongoing university coursework in statics, dynamics, materials, strength of materials, and fluid mechanics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including 3D conceptualization, mechanism assembly, and knowledge of connection elements.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and handle pressure.
- Bilingual communication skills.
- Proactive and motivated approach to work.
