About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. You will join a multidisciplinary team to work on real hydropower projects. You will gain hands-on experience across the procurement cycle while working alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Take part in hands-on activities across the procurement cycle.
- Explore project needs and gather information with engineering and project teams.
- Identify suppliers and help prepare requests for quotation.
- Compare bids and highlight key differences to support decisions.
- Build familiarity with purchase orders by preparing and updating them under supervision.
- Track purchase order progress, required documents, and delivery dates with suppliers.
- Help information move smoothly and contribute to resolving routine supplier questions.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable to understand invoice processing and reconciliation.
- Discover SAP, LMS, and other internal tools while supporting follow-ups, changes, and urgent purchases.
- Prepare useful updates and collaborate across teams to keep projects moving.
What you'll need#
- Currently studying Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
- Proficient in spoken and written English and French.
- Confident use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with changing priorities.
- Initiative, curiosity, and a team mindset.
- Ability to research, understand, and turn information into action.
- Ability to read shop or mechanical drawings is preferred.
- Knowledge of or interest in negotiation and commercial analysis is preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP or another enterprise resource planning system is preferred.
- Interest in energy, manufacturing, or supply chain is preferred.
