JOB SUMMARY: The Cybersecurity Awareness Intern will support cybersecurity education and awareness initiatives by assisting with data analysis, documentation, reporting, and project coordination activities. Using Microsoft Office Suite tools, the intern will help gather and analyze information, prepare presentations and reports, document meeting outcomes, track action items, and support business requirements-related tasks. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience collaborating with cross-functional teams while contributing to efforts that promote cybersecurity awareness across the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Support cybersecurity awareness campaigns by creating and distributing communications that promote secure behaviors across the organization. Assist with cybersecurity training programs by coordinating schedules, tracking participation, and helping maintain training materials. Analyze awareness and social engineering testing results to identify trends and prepare reports on employee engagement and risk areas. Develop awareness content such as newsletters, intranet articles, presentations, videos, and educational materials tailored to different audiences. Support employee outreach and events including Cybersecurity Awareness Month activities, webinars, workshops, and engagement campaigns. Conduct research on cybersecurity threats and awareness best practices to help improve program effectiveness and employee understanding. Collaborate with cybersecurity, communications, and business teams to promote a positive security culture and reinforce organizational security expectations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited educational institution. Must be actively pursuing a degree in cybersecurity, information systems, communications, psychology, education, organizational design, industrial design, or business administration. Must have at least 1 year of academic undergraduate studies completed or a sophomore status at minimum. Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: MS Office Proficiency PAY TRANSPARENCY: The hourly range is $18.00 per hour - $35.00 per hour. Pay is based on factors including school year, program of study, etc. In addition, paid internships include Amtrak rail pass privileges as a part of the experience along with one (1) PTO day per academic year.
