About the role#
As an Intellectual Property Intern, you will work with the Senior Intellectual Property Manager to manage non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) for vendors and customers. You will help keep projects moving by initiating documents, tracking their progress, and ensuring they reach completion. This is a rolling internship opportunity based in Saginaw, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Initiate vendor NDAs using SharePoint templates and route them through DocuSign.
- Monitor the status of NDAs, troubleshoot delays, and send reminders to document owners.
- Process NDA edits through legal channels when needed.
- Save completed NDAs to SharePoint and assign the correct attributes.
- Route customer NDAs to the Senior IP Manager for review.
- Conduct monthly reviews to identify NDAs that require renewal.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior status in college pursuing a degree in pre-law, political science, business administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong English reading and writing skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Previous legal or automotive business experience is preferred.
- Experience with MS SharePoint is preferred.
