The Human Resources Administrative Intern supports the HR team by maintaining the integrity, organization, and compliance of employee personnel records. This role is focused on data accuracy and administrative efficiency, providing exposure to core HR operations and compliance standards. The intern will work in a structured environment, ensuring that both physical and electronic documentation meets company policy and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do#
- Conduct comprehensive audits of employee personnel files to ensure all required documentation is present, current, and properly filed.
- Organize and standardize electronic employee folders within HRIS, shared drives, or document management systems.
- Support general administrative functions, including document preparation, data entry, and reporting.
- Assist in onboarding processes by preparing new hire documentation and ensuring file completeness from Day 1.
- Help maintain and update HR templates, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
- Handle sensitive employee information with strict confidentiality and discretion.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for tracking and auditing purposes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies or missing information.
