About the role#
The Department of Health Studies is looking for an undergraduate student to support front office operations. You will help with communication, administrative tasks, and event planning. This is a part-time position requiring 6 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Gather and organize communication content from faculty members.
- Create graphics for newsletters, events, and social media using Canva.
- Manage the department Instagram account by posting creative content and stories.
- Work with the team to plan and run department events.
- Handle administrative tasks using Microsoft 365 apps.
What you'll need#
- An active Federal Work Study (FWS) award.
- Strong skills in oral, written, and digital communication.
- The ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Preference is given to students majoring or minoring in the Health Studies Department.
- Previous office experience is preferred.

- Location: Main Campus, Washington, DC.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
- Status: Part-time, non-exempt.
