Intern, Exhibit & Sponsorship-Remote

About the role#

The American Heart Association is seeking a part-time Exhibit & Sponsorship Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event operations, sponsorship management, and exhibitor coordination within a non-profit health organization. The position is remote, though it requires onsite support in Chicago, IL, from November 3-10, 2026, for Scientific Sessions.

What you'll do#

• Provide general support for sponsorship, advertising, and exhibit-related inquiries.
• Manage operational tasks, including the distribution of specifications to industry supporters.
• Review and maintain external industry-facing websites.
• Support the management of sponsorship and advertising activations.
• Assist with meeting event logistics and special projects as assigned.
• Provide onsite support at Scientific Sessions 2026 in Chicago, IL, from November 3-10.

What you'll need#

• Current college senior or graduate student status.
• Preferred majors include Event and Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Health, or related fields.
• Experience working with databases and electronic reporting tools.
• Strong customer service, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate information accurately and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience managing projects is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Location & details#

• Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – December 11, 2026).
• Work Modality: Remote (must be performed within the United States).
• Time Commitment: 25 hours per week, with a minimum availability of 20 hours per week between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Central Time.
• Compensation: Paid position at $23.00 per hour.
