This internship provides hands-on experience within a non-profit health organization. You will support the Development Team in the Denver market, contributing to the planning, execution, and follow-up of major fundraising campaigns, including the Heart of Colorado & Heart Ball, Go Red for Women, Heart Walk, and CycleNation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Event Coordinators, Development Directors, and Market Leadership to support fundraising efforts.
- Assist with the development and implementation of fundraising activities, logistics, and administrative tasks.
- Manage pre-campaign planning, day-of event execution, and post-campaign wrap-up projects.
- Support volunteer management by prepping for and attending externally facing meetings.
- Conduct prospect research to identify new leads for fundraising campaigns.
- Assist with Hands-Only CPR demonstrations.
What you'll need#
- Preference for seniors or graduate students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Health, Communications, Psychology, or Sociology.
- Previous experience with event planning for non-profit or for-profit organizations.
- Demonstrated skills in effective one-on-one and group communication.
- Intermediate to excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Reliable transportation.
Location & details#
- Location: Denver, Colorado (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – December 11, 2026).
- Commitment: 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
- Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
