This internship with the National Community Health Team offers students hands-on experience in public health. Working under the supervision of experienced professionals, you will apply classroom knowledge to practical health solutions. This role focuses on planning and executing initiatives designed to improve health outcomes in diverse communities.
What you'll do#
- Research evidence-based strategies that support health priority areas, including nutrition security, blood pressure, and chronic conditions.
- Identify, review, and develop community health resources, such as playbooks and intervention best practices.
- Maintain SharePoint sites to ensure content remains current, organized, and accessible.
- Support community impact storytelling by developing communication pieces for online and offline use.
- Research and compile comprehensive listings of local community resources and clinics.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including participating in team meetings, recording action items, and coordinating networking events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a senior or graduate student in Public Health, Health Administration, Nursing, Sociology, or Psychology.
- Proven ability to research health topics and translate findings into actionable guidance.
- Excellent written communication skills, with experience writing for educational or promotional outcomes.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Canva.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Proficiency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, or Haitian Creole is preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – December 11, 2026).
- Work Modality: Remote (must be performed within the United States).
- Compensation: Paid at $23.00 per hour.
- Equipment: A reliable WiFi connection is required.
