The Cybersecurity Intern will assist the Cybersecurity team in identifying, assessing, and reducing cybersecurity risks across the organization. This role focuses on vulnerability management, external attack surface management, and cybersecurity awareness. You will gain hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, risk analysis, and security operations while helping improve the organization's overall security posture.
What you'll do#
- Assist with vulnerability management activities, including identifying, analyzing, tracking, and reporting security vulnerabilities.
- Support cybersecurity risk reduction efforts through research, data analysis, and security assessments.
- Help develop metrics, reports, and dashboards to communicate cybersecurity trends and risk posture.
- Research emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the documentation of cybersecurity processes, standards, and operational workflows.
- Assist with cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including the creation of educational content.
- Support cybersecurity projects and participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Current college seniors or graduate students in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Understanding of key concepts including access control, encryption, networking, and cloud computing.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to document findings clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a professional environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Dallas, Texas (On-site).
- Term: September 8, 2026, to December 11, 2026.
- Commitment: 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
- Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
