About the role#
This is a writing-intensive internship based in Saint Joseph, Missouri. You will work on a variety of media projects including the Angus Journal, Angus Beef Bulletin, and Angus Beef Bulletin EXTRA. The role involves travel to industry events such as the National Junior Angus Show and the Beef Improvement Federation symposium. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Write news stories, feature articles, personality profiles, and research pieces.
- Conduct interviews with producers.
- Manage a specific column.
- Contribute to the editorial planning and magazine production process.
- Assist with daily tasks like gathering, compiling, and proofing information.
- Produce podcasts and create video content.
- Take photographs during story trips and industry events.
- Plan and create content for social media and the website.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, or English.
- Experience in news and feature writing.
- Background in editing.
- Photography skills.
