About the role#
The Digital department at Ameren supports the corporation and its various subsidiaries. As a co-op, you will join a team that hosts dozens of students annually. You will participate in activities involving analysis, assessment, design, and collaboration. Experienced staff will provide coaching and feedback throughout your assignment.
What you'll do#
- Complete assigned work tasks alongside experienced digital staff.
- Gather requirements from leaders and stakeholders to deliver on initiatives.
- Gain exposure to programming and scripting languages including .NET, SQL, COBOL, Java, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MVC, Angular, and PowerShell.
- Learn about REST API design and coding.
- Utilize tools such as Visual Studio, VS Code, Eclipse, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Work with processes like Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- A mindset focused on process improvement and problem solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively, take initiative, work independently, and meet deadlines.
