About the role#
This is a paid, full-time co-op position focused on the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). You will work under supervision to support system operations, analyze data, and help maintain the applications that power our smart grid. The role involves working with a variety of technologies including Linux and Windows servers, Oracle and SQL databases, and monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support to system operators, engineering teams, and IT personnel.
- Create documentation and provide training as requested.
- Aggregate and model data to build reports and dashboards using tools like PowerBI and SSRS.
- Analyze, test, and implement ADMS software enhancements and configuration settings.
- Enable smart grid functions, such as SCADA, power flow, and outage management.
- Perform root cause analysis to address backlogs and develop action plans for system improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program for Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision.
