About the role#
The Global Bioanalytics Co-op role is based in our Waltham, Massachusetts office. You will work within the Alloy Discovery Services group to support our mission of accelerating the discovery of antibody-based therapeutics. This is a full-time position requiring at least 32 hours per week. You will gain hands-on experience in the biotech industry by working directly with our scientific team.
What you'll do#
- Train on methods for antibody characterization, quality control, and data analysis.
- Run experiments and help develop new assays and technologies.
- Focus on biophysical and biochemical characterization of antibodies and antigens, including binding studies.
- Maintain a detailed electronic laboratory notebook.
- Learn how analytical methods fit into the broader Alloy workflow.
- Shadow other functional groups to learn about different areas of the industry.
- Be generous when others are needy, greedy, or fearful.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Biology or Biomedical Sciences program.
- An independent sense of urgency, persistence, and integrity.
- A willingness to learn and grow in a team setting.
- Previous internship or lab experience is preferred.
- Experience with analytical methods such as SEC-HPLC, HIC, CE, DSF, DLS, BLI, or LC-MS is a plus, though not required.
