About the role#
Alloy Therapeutics is looking for a trainee to join the In Vitro Pharmacology team. You will support research programs by running validated assay systems to test therapeutic biologics, such as antibodies and cell therapies. This role involves working with high-throughput methods to evaluate how novel biologics interact with human cells in disease-specific models. You will also contribute to the operational success of the lab through inventory management and reagent preparation.
What you'll do#
- Support daily lab workflows and maintain cell line inventories.
- Run cell-based functional assays using high-throughput techniques in primary cells and reporter cell lines.
- Present your experimental findings and data during team meetings.
- Ensure project activities are executed on time and according to the plan.
- Keep detailed, accurate laboratory records that meet industry standards.
- Manage laboratory organization and follow all safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cells in a BSL2+ laboratory setting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly within a team.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on rigorous scientific thinking.
- Experience with flow cytometry and fundamental molecular biology techniques is preferred.
- Experience handling human blood, leukopak processing, and PBMC isolations is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Waltham, Massachusetts.
- The role is full-time and paid, with an estimated pay range of $23 to $32 per hour.
- The term is rolling.
