About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern at Allegion, you will join the Process Innovation Team in Princeton, Illinois. This summer internship offers hands-on experience in a production environment. You will contribute to real projects, collaborate with key teams, and work with new technologies to improve production processes.
What you'll do#
- Support the development, execution, and sustainability of capital projects.
- Manage technical and administrative project tasks.
- Serve as the main point of contact for selected vendors and contractors.
- Coordinate internal resources to ensure project execution.
- Track and report on project status, objectives, and budgets.
- Develop project plans to deliver results on time.
- Create sustainable TPM plans to maximize equipment longevity.
- Assist with Annual Operating Plan development and Business Case creation.
- Evaluate Return on Investment for new assets.
- Write specification documents for new equipment based on cost, delivery, and quality.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs for data analysis, reporting, and project management.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, schedules, and procedures.
- A strong sense of urgency and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
