    About the role#

    Allegion is hiring a Process Engineering Intern for our fabrication department for the summer of 2027. This full-time role involves developing and maintaining equipment processes within our manufacturing facility. You will work on-site in Indianapolis, Indiana, collaborating with our team to improve plant operations.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in implementing new processes for the plant.
    • Solve machining and stamping issues.
    • Program CNC machines using G-Code and Conversational programming.
    • Support the rebuild of old equipment to like-new condition.
    • Identify critical spare parts and work with maintenance to improve process reliability.
    • Support shop floor layout using AutoCAD or similar software.
    • Develop work instructions and standard work for the shop floor.
    • Collaborate with plant employees and communicate professionally across all levels of the organization.
    • Stay current on new technology and suggest process improvements.

    What you'll need#

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Training and experience in multi-axis robots, robot maintenance, robotic programming, and PLC Ladder Logic programming.
    • Some prior experience in manufacturing.
    • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Robotics Technology, or Computer Integrated Manufacturing.
    • Working knowledge of motor controllers and abrasive products is preferred.
    • Ability to manage time and establish priorities.
