About the role#
The District Manager Internship offers hands-on experience in retail operations. Interns work alongside district managers to learn how to run multi-million dollar business units. This is a full-time, 10-week summer program designed to provide a comprehensive look at the company's business model and store management practices. Successful completion of the program may lead to full-time opportunities upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Shadow a store manager to learn fundamental aspects of store operations.
- Assist with inventory and participate in a store reset and grand opening if possible.
- Take initiative to create excellent store conditions and improve store associate performance.
- Participate in store tours and conduct customer walks as part of learning.
- Assist your trainer with administrative tasks including payroll, invoices, and hiring processes such as interviews and orientations.
- Prepare a presentation and report on an operational area to be presented to executives.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work under strict deadlines.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work cooperatively within a team.
