Air Products is seeking a Power Engineering Intern to join our operations team in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship involving a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. You will work alongside operations and maintenance staff to support the production of hydrogen in a highly automated environment.
What you'll do#
- Control and monitor processes, including steam systems, compressors, rotating equipment, and DCS operations.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Instrument/Electrical Technicians to maintain plant equipment.
- Conduct field readings and perform routine equipment inspections.
- Participate in a comprehensive training program covering Basic Safety, Water Treatment (Reverse Osmosis, Softeners, Ultrafiltration), Steam Methane Reforming, Pressure Swing Absorption, and Hydrogen Compression.
What you'll need#
- Minimum 3.0 GPA in the Power Engineer Technology Program.
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
- Strong focus on safety and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
- Proficient communication skills and digital literacy.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
