About the role#
As a Power Engineering Intern, you will work within our hydrogen production facilities. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting the operation and maintenance of highly automated industrial gas plants. This role involves collaboration with operations and maintenance staff to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.
What you'll do#
- Control and monitor hydrogen production processes, including steam systems, compressors, rotating equipment, and DCS operations.
- Work alongside maintenance, instrument, and electrical technicians to maintain plant equipment.
- Conduct field readings and perform routine equipment inspections.
- Participate in a comprehensive training program covering topics such as water treatment, steam methane reforming, pressure swing absorption, and hydrogen compression.
- Receive guidance and mentorship from training coordinators and full-time operations staff.
What you'll need#
- Minimum 3.0 GPA in the Power Engineer Technology Program.
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Proficient communication skills and digital literacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule in a 24/7 operation.
