About the role#
We are looking for a Production Assistant to join a production team. This is a 4-month paid contract with the potential to transition into a permanent full-time position. You will work alongside experienced filmmakers and producers, gaining exposure to the business of creating film and television. Your focus will span research, development, production logistics, and administrative coordination.
What you'll do#
- Assist development and production teams across documentary, live TV, and scripted or unscripted projects.
- Conduct research and help move projects from concept through development into production.
- Coordinate production logistics, workflow organization, and daily operational support.
- Support senior filmmakers and producers with project organization and changing production needs.
- Handle both high-level creative tasks and essential day-to-day production work.
What you'll need#
- 1-3 years of experience in film, media, or television production.
- Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to learn new digital workflow tools.
- A professional attitude when dealing with high-profile talent and confidential materials.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, ON.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
- Commitment: 4-month contract with potential for full-time employment.
- Schedule: Standard hours are 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional early mornings or late days during active production cycles.
