About the role#
AFL is seeking a Finance and Accounting Co-Op for the Winter 2027 term in Duncan, South Carolina. This full-time, on-site position offers students the chance to gain practical experience across multiple departments, including Corporate and Products Accounting, Financial Shared Services, Products Finance, Tax, and Treasury.
What you'll do#
- Assist with month-end close procedures.
- Develop operational and plant metrics (KPIs).
- Improve current cycle count processes.
- Manage fixed asset maintenance in Sage.
- Handle daily cash management tasks.
- Conduct accounting research and process improvement projects.
- Support special projects across various lines of business as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university as a sophomore or higher.
- Major in Accounting or Finance with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong attention to detail and a motivated work ethic.
- Previous finance or accounting internship experience is preferred.

- This is a paid position. AFL provides corporate housing for non-local students and a gas stipend for those commuting more than 50 miles. The role includes a 401k company match of up to 4%.
